Founded in 2008, Helping One Woman (HOW) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has grown from a single chapter in Fresno, CA, to numerous chapters nationwide. Our mission is to bring women together to support one another through irreplaceable loss. (EIN #27‐3382773)

HOW Dinner Gifts Work

At our monthly dinners, we collect monetary gifts to support that evening’s recipient at each of our Chapters. Please note:

• Direct to the Recipient: 100% of the money given at the dinner goes directly to the woman being honored.
• A Personal Gift: These funds are a personal gift from you to the recipient and do not pass through the Helping One Woman organization.
• Not Tax-Deductible: For this reason, these specific dinner gifts are not tax-deductible.

Your generous gift helps the Helping One Woman organization grow, operate, and support new chapters nationwide. Please note, this tax-deductible donation goes to our national 501(c)(3) to support our mission, not directly to a monthly recipient.

To support a local chapter, please write the chapter’s name (e.g., “HOW Visalia”) in the “Write a Note” section of the donation form.
